John Noakes (cricketer)
John Noakes (1802 – 13 April 1840) was an English cricketer. Noakes' batting style is unknown.
Noakes made his first-class debut for Kent against Sussex at the Royal New Ground, Brighton in 1826. Batting first, Sussex made 133 all out, to which Kent could only respond in their first-innings with 43 all out, with Noakes being dismissed for a duck by William Lillywhite. Sussex then made 143 all out in their second-innings, with Kent making just 71 all out in their second-innings, with Noakes making 8 runs before he was dismissed by George Brown. In response Kent made 62 all out, with Noakes being dismissed by Lillywhite for 11 runs. He died at Lamberhurst, Kent, on 13 April 1840.
